Eclipse c++ for ubuntu9/10/2023 I've been using podman manually to do so (I also tried nsbox but I later figured out that it'd be more of a use on the desktop Linux systems than on WSL) but today I saw Distrobox (also although unrelated but, Onefetch & SnowFS because I think they're interesting) which might be even handier than nsbox so I'll give it a shot next time I need a different container. How to setup Eclipse IDE for FFmpeg development Eclipse Classic Nowadays I just install other environments inside my main distro which has all the WSL stuff and systemd (with Distrod ) set up already. This way had that connection drop thing (when the laptop sleeps etc) issue but on the later versions of Ubuntu (first with Community Preview, then preinstalled by default) I could use the ubuntuwsl command to enable advanced IP detection feature so it all went smoothly. vbs scripts and just change the program part of them to create new launchers, which I didn't need many of them anyway. What I did was to export the DISPLAY environment variable in my shell's rc file, then copy paste the. It's kinda funny when you think about it like that lol.īut the way I set up VcXsrv myself before that wasn't that different too. It also doesn't freeze if I go to the freaking bathroom. The Linux desktop opens and I can just work. Now with GWSL I just click the icon and everything works. Maybe I configured it wrong but that doesn't matter, it should just work like GWSL just worked after installing it. Then if I stopped working on the Linux window it froze after not using it for several minutes, for example, if I stopped working on my computer to go to the bathroom, then when I returned I had to literally kill the XLaunch thing, start it again, then re-open all my windows. The thing I don't like about that option is that I ended up with a solution that required to first open the Linux WSL terminal and execute xfce4-session, then run the launcher thing which would leave behind the terminal opened executing some stuff. I was using something called XLaunch.exe that I got "working" after looking at a youtube video, well I don't even remember if it was a video or some blog I found on the internet when searching for how to run Linux graphical apps on WSL in Win10 since that was a long ago.
